About
The LGBTQIA2+ community is diverse, with overlapping experiences related to race, ethnicity, gender identity, gender expression, neurodiversity, and accessibility, including non-apparent disabilities. To create events that prioritize belonging and safety for all attendees, organizations must first develop internal cultures that embrace diversity, equity, inclusion, and belonging (DEIB). Gain practical strategies to foster inclusivity in your organization, work effectively with staff and volunteer committee leaders and design attendee experiences where everyone feels accepted, equal and belongs.
Learning outcomes:
Apply inclusive culture principles to create equitable, welcoming and accessible event experiences for all attendees
Identify strategies to build a culture of belonging and identify gaps in current DEIB efforts
Evaluate policies, leadership structures and culture norms to address acceptance gaps in event design
