Once a functioning power station, Tate Modern was transformed in 2000 into a world-renowned modern art gallery, showcasing both British and international artworks.
At the heart of the building is The Turbine Hall, a vast, dramatic space adorned with the original features from its industrial past. Measuring over 155 meters long and 35 meters high, it is the largest and most iconic event space at Tate. The Turbine Hall can accommodate up to 1,200 guests for a standing reception or 700 seated for a dinner.
Renowned for its artist commissions, the Turbine Hall has also hosted some of the most memorable contemporary art installations of recent decades.
Suspended above on Level 1 and offering an exceptional vantage point over the Turbine Hall installations is The Turbine Hall Bridge. The Bridge can host dinners for up to 400 guests or standing receptions for up to 700, making it ideal for welcome drinks or afterparties following events in the Turbine Hall below.
Together, The Turbine Hall and the Bridge blend the power of contemporary art with the legacy of industrial design, creating a truly unique and unforgettable backdrop for events of all kinds.
