Event Design Collective
Roel Frissen, CMM is a Netherlands‑based entrepreneur who has been a pioneer in the meetings and events industry since 1999. Roel is the co‑founder of Event Design Collective (EDCo), a global consulting and training firm dedicated to transforming how events are conceived and delivered. Together with Ruud Janssen, he developed the Event Canvas™ methodology, a strategic framework that helps teams design events that drive intentional behavioral change.
As a trusted advisor and Managing Director, Roel brings years of experience in event design, strategy, design thinking and change management. His mission is to democratize event design and build the industry's capacity to create events that make a meaningful difference. Roel’s work enables leaders and teams to bridge the gap between event owners and planners by using a shared design language. The Event Canvas™ is freely accessible and used worldwide to prototype and shape purpose‑driven events.
Roel continues to inspire and train professionals globally, supporting teams as they design events that create real change—one event at a time.
