The old exterior of the originally elegant building has been restored to its original splendour by its Spanish owners and opened as a luxury venue in autumn 2020. One of the most beautiful parts of the hotel is the stunning historical staircase, faithfully restored to its original state, which is the second largest staircase in Hungary after the Parliament. In addition to the restoration of the original stair treads, floor tiles and columns, the painted
coffered ceiling, the reconstruction of the candelabra and mouldings, and the re-crafting of the Zsolnay tiling of the staircase were all crafted by hand.
