The “Veles e Vents” building, also known as the Foredeck building, was designed by renowned architects David Chipperfield (Pritzker Prize 2023) and Fermín Vázquez. Its name is inspired by a poem by Ausiàs March, paying tribute to the power of the winds, and it was constructed for the 2007 America’s Cup in Valencia. This iconic landmark, winner of the 2006 LEAF Awards, stands out for its contemporary design overlooking the Mediterranean Sea from La Marina de València.
The building features covered and semi-covered terraces that appear to float above the sea, expansive windows, and open-plan halls offering unique panoramic views of Las Arenas beach and the Port of Valencia, as well as direct access to La Marina’s car park, which has over 800 spaces. In total, it offers more than 10,000 m² of versatile spaces, ensuring that any event hosted here is a success and can be carried out with the highest standards.
