Colin Iles is Head of Growth at the South African/UK-based Chisl Group, a data science and machine learning consultancy. He helps organizations apply AI, automation and advanced analytics to improve decision-making and business performance.
Before joining Chisl, Colin held executive roles at Barclays Africa, including Managing Director of the Client Innovation Centre and COO of Global Markets Africa, where he led large-scale fintech and transformation projects. He also worked at Standard Bank and Deutsche Bank across London, Frankfurt and Singapore, and qualified as a Chartered Accountant at PwC.
Colin serves as Deputy Chair of AIFMRM—the African Institute of Financial Markets and Risk Management—based at the University of Cape Town. The institute focuses on developing specialist talent in quantitative finance and risk management across the continent.
Outside work, Colin spends as much time as possible enjoying Cape Town with his family and friends.
