Fractional Registration CTO | Attendee Journey Architect
OEC | Fractional Registration CTO
Heather O'Shea is a Fractional Registration CTO. Through O'Shea Event Consulting (OEC), Heather designs and builds the registration architecture behind enterprise events for Fortune 500 companies, associations and agencies.
Her work covers registration types, business rules, data models and integrations with CRM systems, badging, apps and reporting. She also plans for what happens when part of the system fails.
Heather starts by establishing what the program needs to measure, what registration needs to capture and how the data should be structured. She documents each build using attendee journey maps and architecture diagrams, enabling client teams to manage the system.
Her current work includes housing, single sign-on and biometric check-in integrations, speaker portals and call-for-proposals workflows.
Heather also evaluates event platforms and their AI capabilities against integration requirements.
She has built enterprise events using Cvent, RainFocus, Swoogo, InEvent and Entegy. Heather holds certifications across the platforms she works with and earned Cvent Power User status at the first Power User Build-Off at Cvent CONNECT 2026.
