Keynote speaker - A Blind Man with Vision
A blind man with vision
Hein Wagner has been blind since birth. Despite this, he has an extraordinary list of accomplishments. He’s completed the Absa Cape Epic, run the Antarctica Marathon, the Two Oceans and New York Marathons, finished a full Ironman, sailed the Cape to Rio Yacht Race, and holds the World Blind Land Speed Record at 322.52 km/h. Hein has also received a golden key from the University of Stellenbosch in recognition of his ongoing efforts toward social upliftment.
Hein is living proof that anything is possible—even in the face of challenge. He doesn’t let blindness stand in the way of his dreams. It’s why many refer to him as the blind man with exceptional vision.
